What we are offering, and what we are not.

Last checked against the software on 24 October 2026. This describes the service as it stands today.

This is a description, not a legal notice. It was written from the code, and it is accurate as far as we know. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and does not include the governing law, liability, or dispute terms a complete notice needs. If you need a formal answer, write to contact@voicecalltranslator.com.

What the service is

You can create an account, open a room, and have a translated voice call with one other person. The host of a room pays for its calls with prepaid minutes; the people they invite join free and never need an account.

We never record your call. To translate it, the audio passes through speech recognition, translation and voice services — Deepgram, Google and ElevenLabs — which keep little or nothing of it. The privacy page sets out exactly what happens to it, and what we keep about a call instead.

Cookies. The site uses a cookie to keep you signed in, and no analytics. Both are explained under Cookies and analytics on the privacy page.

Buying minutes

Minutes are sold in prepaid packages. The prices on the pricing page are in US dollars and are shown before tax. The checkout page may show the amount in your local currency, and adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are.

Purchases are sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service, which is the seller of record. Link is the name on the checkout page and on your receipt, and your card statement shows a charge beginning LINK.COM*. Stripe takes the payment, collects any tax, and sends the receipt.

Minutes are added to your balance as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a minute. Every new account also starts with 30 free minutes. Minutes do not expire. They belong to the account that bought them, and are lost if that account is deleted.

How minutes are used

A call spends the host's minutes whoever opens it — the host, or a guest arriving on the host's link. The clock runs only while both of you are connected: it starts when the second person joins and stops the moment either of you leaves. Time spent waiting alone — for the other person to arrive, or to come back after their connection dropped — is not charged. It counts in seconds, and a minute of call is a minute of balance however many people are speaking.

If the translation stops working, or never starts, the first minute is charged and the rest is not: after a minute without it, the clock stops until translation is back, and the call screen says so.

After everyone leaves, a call stays open for three minutes so that somebody whose connection dropped can come back to the same call. That wait is not charged.

A call needs at least one minute on the balance to start. From five minutes left, the host sees a countdown on the call screen with a way to add minutes without leaving the call, and the call ends when the balance reaches zero.

Refunds

Refunds are decided case by case. If a call failed, you were charged something you did not expect, or you bought minutes you cannot use, write to contact@voicecalltranslator.com with the date of the purchase and what happened. We will look at it and reply.

Because Link is the seller of record, you can also ask Link support for help with a purchase, and Stripe may itself refund a purchase within 60 days in some cases. A refund goes back to the way you paid, and includes any tax you were charged.

A refund takes back the minutes it paid for. A full refund removes the minutes that purchase added; a partial refund removes the same share of them. It never takes more than you have left, so a refund of minutes you have already used cannot leave you owing any.

Translation is machine translation

A model translates your conversation in real time. It is fast and it is usually good, and it will sometimes be wrong — a missed negation, a name heard as a word, a phrase that does not survive the crossing.

Do not rely on it where being wrong would matter. Medical, legal, financial and safety-critical conversations need a qualified human interpreter. This product is not one, and is not a substitute for one.

It is also not an emergency service. It cannot reach emergency responders and must not be depended on to.

Using it fairly

Rooms are for conversations between people who want to be in them. Do not use the service to harass anyone, to break the law, to record someone who has not agreed to it, or to resell translation capacity as your own. We can close a room or an account that is being used that way.

To protect hosts' minutes and the service, there are limits on how many rooms one account can create in an hour, how many calls can run at once on one host's rooms, and how often one internet connection can try to join a call. Ordinary use does not come near them.

You are responsible for telling the people you invite that their conversation is being translated by software, and in some places you are legally required to. The call screen says so plainly to everyone in the room, which helps, but it does not replace asking.

What you can expect of us

This is a product in active development. Features will change, calls will occasionally fail, and we will sometimes deploy in the middle of your day. We will not pretend otherwise, and we will not describe the product as doing something it does not do.

There is no uptime guarantee. If a failure on our side costs you minutes, tell us — see Refunds above.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to have an account. An account hosts calls and buys minutes, so accounts are for adults. Guests you invite need no account. If you invite someone under 18, make sure their parent or guardian is happy for them to join.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. It is erased after 30 days, along with everything attached to it. We can close an account that is being used against the rules above, and we will tell you why.

Connecting an AI assistant is optional. One you connect acts for you only within what you allowed on our page: it can create rooms and read your rooms and minutes balance, and nothing else. What you ask it to do with those is up to you. You can disconnect it at any time from your account page.

What is missing from this page

Governing law, liability, warranties, and how a dispute would be resolved. Those are real legal terms, they need a real lawyer rather than a careful engineer, and this page does not have them. The honest summary is: minutes are for sale, the product is new and still changing, and we would rather tell you that up front than bury it.
