WhatsApp call translator

Translate a WhatsApp call, live.

Call one WhatsApp number, speak your own language, and hear the other person in it. They hear you in theirs. Nothing new to install, for either of you.

WhatsApp can't translate a voice call by itself: its built-in translation covers text messages only. VoiceCallTranslator adds live translation to an ordinary WhatsApp voice call. You call our WhatsApp number from your own WhatsApp, the person you're talking to calls the same number or opens a link in their browser, and each of you hears the other translated into your own language, a moment after each sentence. It works in 41 languages, and only the host pays, by the minute.

How it works

  1. Connect your WhatsAppSign up, then type your WhatsApp number on your rooms page. WhatsApp opens with a short code to send us, which proves the number is yours.
  2. Create a WhatsApp roomChoose your language and the language of the person you'll call. The same room works for every call with them.
  3. Invite themSend the invitation however you like. It has two ways in: a WhatsApp link to call in from WhatsApp, and a link that opens the call in any browser.
  4. Call our number on WhatsAppYou're connected at once, and a voice tells you when the other person joins. Then just talk.

It stays a WhatsApp call

Most apps sold as a WhatsApp call translator move the conversation somewhere else: a link to their own call screen, or a phone on speaker listening to another phone. Here the call is a WhatsApp call from start to finish. You start it from the chat with our number, the way you'd call anyone.

That matters most for the person you're calling. A parent, a client or a host abroad already has WhatsApp and already knows how to make a call. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and nothing to pay on their side.

What each of you hears

The other person's own voice and, right after each sentence, its translation in your language. You never hear your own words translated back to you.

While you wait for the other person, a short message tells you the line is still open. If nobody joins within five minutes the call ends by itself, and waiting is never charged.

Calling across borders

A WhatsApp call travels over the internet, so calling our number uses your data or Wi-Fi rather than international call credit, wherever you and the other person are.

What it costs

Only the host pays, from prepaid minutes that never expire, and only while both of you are on the call. Packages start at $3 for 30 minutes, and every new account starts with 30 free minutes. There is no subscription. The person you invite never pays and never needs an account, and WhatsApp doesn't charge for the call itself.

Private by design

A translated call can't be end-to-end encrypted the way a call between two WhatsApp users is: the translator has to hear what you say. Your call reaches us through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, is translated as you speak, and is never recorded. Every connection is encrypted in transit.

For anything legal or medical, use a professional interpreter rather than any machine translation.

Questions about translated WhatsApp calls

Can WhatsApp translate calls?

Not by itself. WhatsApp translates text messages, not calls. To have a translated WhatsApp voice call, you call VoiceCallTranslator's WhatsApp number and the other person calls the same number or joins from a link; each of you hears the other in your own language.

How do I translate a WhatsApp call?

Sign up at voicecalltranslator.com, connect your WhatsApp number on your rooms page, create a WhatsApp room with both languages, and send the invitation. Then call our WhatsApp number from your WhatsApp. When the other person joins, each of you hears the other translated.

Does the other person need an app or an account?

No. They need WhatsApp or any web browser, nothing else. Guests never sign up and never pay.

Which languages can I use?

41 languages: every one that speech recognition, translation and a natural voice all support. For a WhatsApp room the host chooses both languages in advance.

How much does a translated WhatsApp call cost?

The host pays from prepaid minutes, only while both people are on the call, from $3 for 30 minutes. New accounts start with 30 free minutes. The guest pays nothing.

Does it work for WhatsApp video calls or group calls?

No. It is for one-to-one voice calls: two people, no video. For a translated video call, use the sister site VideoCallTranslator.com.

Is VoiceCallTranslator part of WhatsApp?

No. It is an independent service that uses Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform to answer calls to its WhatsApp number. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta.

WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC. VoiceCallTranslator is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to WhatsApp or Meta; it uses Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform.
